Quiet time/Worship Time Meditation

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ - 2 Corinthians 4:6
Find a quiet spot

Let the music play

Breathe in, deeply...
Exhale - slowly

Breathe into the lyrics,
the words and melody that form the wisps of intercession

Keep breathing...

The notes, the words, the prayer
turning, writhing, flowing, spilling, swirling

Being drawn on their way
Upwards to the Father

And the release of Heavens storehouse
Envelopes our earthly frame...

(Consider reading this into your smart phone recorder and have it play back while you are sitting with your eyes closed)

As you breathe and still your soul, listen for the whispers of the Holy Spirit to speak in your heart.  He may speak in words that don't seem to be your own, images, songs (because the Lord does sing over us) or even "flashes of insight".  Sometimes He will let His presence be known by a fragrance you can detect, or even by physical sensations (if it won't overwhelm you!).  Just know it is His desire to speak to you, to tell you "great and mighty things, that you do not know" and even things that you do know, but need reminded of.  Make sure you have a piece of paper and a favorite pen or pencil handy so that you can capture the essence of your time with the Lord when it is over (not during - {smiling}).  Remember what He feels like/sounds like; and let His presence carry over into the rest of your day!

Love is...by Lord Byron

Playing with light, processing and fonts in my "BeStill52" class...

"Yes, love indeed is light from heaven;
a spark of that immortal fire shared with angels shared..."

"Still" is a verb...

"...learning how to be still,
to be really still and LET life happen -
that stillness becomes a
radiance..."
Morgan Freeman

from my class "Be Still" - a little grungy processing - all the vintage laces are mine with a beautiful rose from the bouquet that my dh got me for my birthday...

Learning to Still, Life:

Finding the light ~
     {remembering that He is the Light}

Looking with intention ~
     {you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul}

Slowing down in order to see what is already there ~
      {See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?}

These are the steps I've adopted so that I can do still life photography...

I've always read that word - still -
as an adjective...

I am learning it is a verb.
