Hello Monday!

I cannot believe it has been so long!  But I am still here, and you can always find me over on the facebook page {click on the little facebook icon to the left}.

Today I want to just share a photo from last week - I am enjoying the beautiful, even tho' I have been absent here.

Somehow, through all the pressures and messages we hear in the world, women don't see themselves as beautiful.  I pray you are on the journey to changing this reality for your own life.  The Lord sees ALL His daughters as beautiful!  Here are a couple of verses you might consider hiding in your heart, meditating on, until your heart agrees with God...

1 Peter 3:4-6 but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.  For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands,  as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.

Proverbs 31:30  Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Quiet time/Worship Time Meditation

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ - 2 Corinthians 4:6
Find a quiet spot

Let the music play

Breathe in, deeply...
Exhale - slowly

Breathe into the lyrics,
the words and melody that form the wisps of intercession

Keep breathing...

The notes, the words, the prayer
turning, writhing, flowing, spilling, swirling

Being drawn on their way
Upwards to the Father

And the release of Heavens storehouse
Envelopes our earthly frame...

(Consider reading this into your smart phone recorder and have it play back while you are sitting with your eyes closed)

As you breathe and still your soul, listen for the whispers of the Holy Spirit to speak in your heart.  He may speak in words that don't seem to be your own, images, songs (because the Lord does sing over us) or even "flashes of insight".  Sometimes He will let His presence be known by a fragrance you can detect, or even by physical sensations (if it won't overwhelm you!).  Just know it is His desire to speak to you, to tell you "great and mighty things, that you do not know" and even things that you do know, but need reminded of.  Make sure you have a piece of paper and a favorite pen or pencil handy so that you can capture the essence of your time with the Lord when it is over (not during - {smiling}).  Remember what He feels like/sounds like; and let His presence carry over into the rest of your day!

Love is...by Lord Byron

Playing with light, processing and fonts in my "BeStill52" class...

"Yes, love indeed is light from heaven;
a spark of that immortal fire shared with angels shared..."

"Still" is a verb...

"...learning how to be still,
to be really still and LET life happen -
that stillness becomes a
radiance..."
Morgan Freeman

from my class "Be Still" - a little grungy processing - all the vintage laces are mine with a beautiful rose from the bouquet that my dh got me for my birthday...

Learning to Still, Life:

Finding the light ~
     {remembering that He is the Light}

Looking with intention ~
     {you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul}

Slowing down in order to see what is already there ~
      {See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?}

These are the steps I've adopted so that I can do still life photography...

I've always read that word - still -
as an adjective...

I am learning it is a verb.

Exhale - Remember His Presence

Exhale

Don't hold your breath

Breathe in

Then out

Pause

Remember His Presence

Have a "selah" moment

Relax

Breathe

 Exhale

©Cindy Fort, 2015

While composing this photo for a class I am in, I breathed slowly, with intention instead allowing my body to be on automatic- and the title came to me.  It is a reminder to breathe, pause, remember His presence - in short, have a "selah" moment...something that we can forget when rushing in our daily lives and anxiety starts to build - like holding our breath instead of breathing deeply...

So remember to exhale...
