Like "Ladies in Waiting", these projects rest in my studio/office, waiting for me
to touch,
to begin,
to see what is now hidden,
to hear the Creator give a commission to begin...
Found at a yard sale - I negotiated down to $3...it is 20x24 (not including the frame) and I think if the flowers show through the background it will be very cool... |
I look,
as many times as I walk in and out of that room,
waiting for Him to give the inspiration.
Another find at the same sale - another $3 - 36 x 35 inches not including frame...it will make another wonderful background! |
A closeup of the texture...the colors are really the colors of dawn or dusk (silly lighting in the studio/office!) |
I think He enjoys "thinking" about it, too,
but He already sees the finished piece,
He just likes it when we "think" together,
not always lingering like this,
yet it is His delight to do so now.
Quiet times of study
don't always have to be IN the Word,
to be infused BY the Word!
Blocks waiting to be turned into this from Dayspring since I don't have $50 at the moment, but I do have paint and images and fonts from the computer!
And on other matters...I was delighted to figure out how to place custom "follow" buttons like these on the website:

Look at your amazing finds! WOW! I can't wait to see what you make from them, because I know they will be GORGEOUS! I'm excited...in anticipation!
Wow, this is just like our Father, isn't it? I'm looking forward to seeing what the two of you come up with. This is very inspiring. I always pray when I paint, and I often feel directed. It's nice to hear the same from someone else.
I love this post--waiting for His inspiration. My husband was teasing me about how I always skip around and hardly ever work on one project start to finish. I told him it was because I had to wait for the inspiration to come--the waiting is sort of a discipline, isn't it?
Oh you are a wonderful creative friend to have. I always go with a huge outloud prayer when I am taking photos for someone or when I am embarking on a project. God is in this *work in progress*, Yes and Amen~
Love it!
You are so creatively infused with these projects, I can hardly wait to see what you will do.
I loved the gorgeous post of my lambs, I showed it to all my friends & family~
Love how you describe all this creativity as ladies in waiting!....and how clever are you doing those custom follow buttons!!
I can't wait to see what you will do together...You know it's going to be good :)
Always good to have projects waiting, the bad is when there is nothing.
PD. The sky of my photos is quite real and has no tweaks or alterations.
I'm always amazed at what artists see the rest of us don't. Your eye – the eye of an artist – it's special. I wish I had it. I want to say more, but I kind of just can't – I'm just in awe of what you see. God bless you Cindy.
Oh yes... projects waiting for His inspiration. I have many pieces like that. Love this post Cindy. Spoke right to my heart. I love your follow buttons! :) You did not miss a studio reveal! I got a bit distracted with orders... which I can not complain about at all... and have not *totally* finished my room. I might just show what I have done for now sometime soon! lol
Thank you for stopping by the blog and commenting, Cindy. Looks like you are a busy lady and a talented one too! Have a wonderful Sunday. :)
Part of the creative process is "waiting" for and "gathering" inspiration...it's my favorite part. It tends to drive my sister nuts because she gets all anxious when she doesn't have the answers...really uptight when she thinks it the "wrong" answer...lol But I know that things happen for a reason and have never had a problem with "letting go" and being in the moment and enjoying the journey. Can't wait to see where your creative journey takes you. btw...love those social media buttons...it's the little things that get me all excited...lol
