"Then Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath." (Mark 2:27 NLT)
A Blessing for One Who is Exhausted
John O’Donohue
John O’Donohue
Take refuge in your senses,
open up
to all the small miracles you rushed through.
to all the small miracles you rushed through.
Become inclined to watch the way of rain
when it falls slow and free.
Imitate the habit of twilight,
Imitate the habit of twilight,
Taking time to open the well of colour
That fostered the brightness of day.
Draw alongside the silence of stone
until its calmness can claim you.
Be excessively gentle with yourself.
Be excessively gentle with yourself.
Stay clear of those vexed in spirit.
Learn to linger around someone of ease
who feels they have all the time in the world.
Gradually you will return to yourself,
having learned a new respect for your heart
and the joy that dwells far within slow time.

I needed this today. In the first 7 months of this year we had to put our oldest cat to sleep.11 days later my Mohter-in-law died. Then my husband's brother died. Then we madea major move to a new town and then my sister's dog had to be put to sleep. We loved her dog and she loved us.Now we're exhausted so I really needed this reminder.Thank you . ~Sharon Goemaere
Love this..hope you don't mind if I print it to re-read often. I found you had visited me long ago with my bird nest post, and had lost track maybe of your site. I see though I already have submitted my email. I first visited your Angel site and saw you no longer have current posts there, so was nice to catch up with your blog here and visit.
visiting from peabea.blogspot.com (Peabea Scribbles)
Will visit again. :)
Also, forgot to say would love to have you link up your beautiful scripture photo to my Sunday Scripture Blessings that I post each Sunday if you would like. :)
